Kelly Removed for Shoulder Injury
Per WEEI's Ryan Hannable, Red Sox manager John Farrell and the team's trainer looked at Kelly before taking him out after he threw 23 pitches. The Red Sox later announced Kelly left with a right shoulder impingement, per Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe.
At the time Boston removed Kelly with two outs in the first inning, the Rays had not scored a run.
