Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani's former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, pleaded guilty Tuesday to bank and tax fraud charges.
According to ESPN's Alden González, Mizuhara entered the plea at a change-of-plea hearing in federal court after previously pleading not guilty last month.
Per ESPN, prosecutors allege that Mizuhara stole nearly $17 million from Ohtani over multiple years in order to pay off gambling debts.
