Gordon Edes of ESPNBoston.com reported that Ramirez was removed from the Red Sox's game with a sore hand after being hit by a pitch in the fourth inning.
Red Sox fans have witnessed the two sides of having Ramirez on the team. When healthy, he's one of the most dangerous hitters in the American League.
