Despite the superstition that has developed surrounding the San Francisco Giants’ inability to win a World Series title in seasons of odd ending years, the defending champions are shaping up to advance to postseason baseball this season. The superstition grew alongside the Giants championship titles during their trilogy of wins that occurred in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
