Giancarlo Stanton hits his longest home run yet

Putting Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton in Coors Field for a weekend was asking for something like this to happen.

Stanton's fifth-inning home run was calculated at 495 feet, tied for the longest home run hit since ESPN began tracking home run distances in 2009 (Wladimir Balentien for the Reds).

Stanton now has the two longest homers this season. He hit a 490-foot home run on May 6 against the Phillies. There have been four homers to go at least 490 feet since 2009; Stanton has three of them.

Of the 22 home runs hit at least 480 feet since 2009, Stanton has six of them.
