Before suffering an ankle injury that kept him out for six weeks, Trevor Bauer was squarely in the race for the AL Cy Young award. By the time he returned to the Indians at the end of September, Bauer made two starts, but manager Terry Francona to use him as a long reliever while Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco and Mike Clevinger would start.
