Freeman departed Wednesday's contest prior to the seventh inning after suffering a right wrist sprain, but he received an injection and is hoping to take the field when the Braves host the New York Mets Friday evening, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution's David O'Brien.
Atlanta's star first baseman went 0-for-3 at the plate before departing, but he continues to lead the club in home runs (12), RBI (41) and hits (76).
