Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow Unlikely to Return from Elbow Injury in 2024 After Setback

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow is "highly unlikely" to return this season after suffering a sprained elbow, manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday.

He will be out "for a while" with the injury, Roberts said.

Glasnow was shut down 20 pitches into his warmup for a two-inning simulated game on Friday after Roberts said he reported "discomfort" in his right elbow, per Juan Toribio of MLB.com.

He has been on the IL since Aug. 16 with right elbow tendinitis.

The setback is a major blow for the Dodgers' starting rotation, which is also missing Clayton Kershaw as the club prepares for the postseason.
