So much for the New York Mets six-man rotation. That not only blows up in a couple of days, but now according to ESPN’s Adam Rubin, the Mets will be designating Dillon Gee for assignment.

Looking at this Mets team, you had to think in the back of your head that this was inevitable. Any fan that can do basic math realized Gee was the odd man out with seven guys fighting for five spots.
