David Phelps pitched well in 6 1/3 innings, allowing two runs, but got a no-decision as the Marlins lost late to the Nationals on Monday.
The Nats' only two runs served as bookends on Phelps' start, as they scored once in the first inning on a sacrifice fly and once in the seventh on Jayson Werth's RBI single. The right-hander, overall, allowed six hits, walked three, and struck out four. Phelps has been solid in four starts, now boasting a 3.24 ERA, a 1.24 WHIP, and a 16/10 K/BB ratio in 25 innings. He'll look to keep it going in his next start, a date with the Giants in San Francisco.
