Murphy Exits With Quad Injury
Thursday, June 4
Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reported the Mets are characterizing Murphy's injury as quad tightness. He was last seen on the field grounding out to shortstop in the top of the third inning. Eric Campbell took over at the hot corner at the bottom of the inning. Murphy finished the game 1-for-2 with a first-inning double.
The Mets, who are off to a surprising 29-25 start, can ill afford to be without any more players.
