There will come a time when Chris Davis will no longer be America’s foremost unemployed slugger. It might be next week. It might be Christmas morning, while everyone except Scott Boras is opening presents. It might be Groundhog Day.
But that time is coming. We promise.
The question we love to ask this time of year, however, is when that time is coming. And since I’m not psychic enough to answer that question myself, I’ve just finished doing something I do every December as the latest, greatest edition of the winter meetings approaches.
