After making an insensitive and controversial remark Thursday, ESPN Radio host Colin Cowherd was taken off the company's programming by the Worldwide Leader in Sports Friday.
Mike Soltys of ESPN PR issued a statement on Twitter announcing the decision:
Colin Cowherd’s comments over the past two days do not reflect the values of ESPN or our employees. Colin will no longer appear on ESPN.

Shortly after ESPN made the call regarding Cowherd's future, he sent an apologetic response on Twitter:
I did not intend to offend anyone w my comments.
