It’s hard to argue how an 8 – 9 start to the baseball season looks promising. But for as much as the Chicago White Sox have struggled to start this year, they find themselves only four games out of a division that has looked far more competitive than once thought. Interestingly enough, it is the disappointing start that foreshadows the team’s competitive future in the American League Central.
The Detroit Tigers (13 – 6) currently top the division by a half game over the defending American League Champions Kansas City Royals (12 – 6).
