Over this past week, the Mets announced that they promoted their 2014 first round draft pick Michael Conforto to Double-A Binghamton. This move could be considered aggressive, as he was hitting .283 with a .350 OBP in only 46 games at Single-A St. Lucie. The power was on display, as Conforto hit seven homers and drove 28 runs home, which may have made the organization eager to promote the young outfielder. His high on-base percentage and power stroke are being pushed through the minor leagues this season, to possibly help the Mets compete for a playoff spot this year.
