A huge contingency of fans bolted for the exits early on Monday during the game between the New York Mets and Washington Nationals, and Bryce Harper isn’t happy about being abandoned before the game was over.
Washington lost 8-5 to New York in the first of a three-game series that could determine if the Nats have any chance at all to catch the Mets in the NL East. Fans have been disenfranchised with their underperforming squad for most of the season, and they showed their displeasure by leaving early.
Harper called the mass exodus “brutal.
