Second baseman Brett Lawrie will be released by the Chicago White Sox.
Per the White Sox official Twitter account, the team will grant Lawrie his unconditional release after requesting waivers on him.

Lawrie spent the 2016 season with the White Sox, hitting .248/.310/.413 with 12 home runs in 94 games. It marked the third different team he has played on over the past three seasons.
