U.S. District Court Judge Lynn Hughes on Monday sentenced former St. Louis Cardinals director of scouting Christopher Correa to 46 months in prison for unlawfully hacking Houston Astros’ scouting records. Correa, who is 35 years old and who earlier this year pleaded guilty to five counts, also must pay $279,038 in restitution.
Correa’s criminal activity took place between 2013 and 2014. During that time, he repeatedly viewed confidential information found on Astros’ online scouting databases.
