The struggles of the Boston Red Sox pitching staff continue, as they add yet another starting pitcher to the disabled list. Earlier today they were forced to place Rick Porcello on the 15-day DL due to triceps soreness and inflammation.
This is the first time in his seven year career that he has been sent to the DL, but based on his performance this season, it is surprising that this is the first mention of injury.
On the season he is 5-11 with a 5.81 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 20 games started.
