Heavy Seas Beer, a Baltimore-based brewery, will commemorate the 20th anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr. breaking Lou Gehrig’s record of 2,130 consecutive games played with a special "Fielder's Choice" brew featuring Ripken-themed packaging.
According to the Washington Post's Dan Steinberg, Camden Yards will receive "a bit less than 10 percent" of the total 4,000 case-output just before the Baltimore Orioles celebrate the anniversary Sept. 1 (though Ripken broke the record Sept. 6, 1995).
The remainder will be available at retail outlets in the Baltimore area, and some in the Washington and Delaware markets.
