Throughout its storied history, Fenway Park has hosted football games, an outdoor NHL game, soccer games, the Harlem Globetrotters, concerts, an elephant party (back in 1914) and even Franklin Roosevelt's final campaign speech in 1944. In recent months, it served as a vaccination site for COVID-19. Now it will host a series of high school graduations.
From June 7 to June 21, Fenway Park will serve as the venue for 15 of the 38 graduating classes across the Boston Public Schools system. The Red Sox offered up Fenway to all 38 schools, but many had already secured other outdoor venues across the city and some of the smaller schools had secured other suitable venues.
