A bag full of signed baseballs by Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez mysteriously washed ashore on Miami Beach, nearly 20 blocks north of a boat crash, which claimed the life of Fernandez and two others last weekend.
Four signed baseballs were turned into to a lifeguard on Monday, Ocean Rescue Division Chief Vincent Canosa told WSVN-TV, days after Fernandez was killed at age 24. Fernandez's friends Emilio Macias and Eduardo Rivero were also killed in the crash.
According to WSVN-TV, Fernandez's checkbook was also found.
