The Atlanta bullpen currently possesses a 4.53 ERA and have blown 11 saves thus far this season. However, despite playing with one of the worst relieving staffs in the majors through the first 60 games, the Braves are still only 3.5 games out of first place in the NL East behind the New York Mets and Washington Nationals.
If Atlanta does hope to remain in playoff contention, the Braves must be active buyers for relief pitching as the trade deadline approaches on July 31.
