Atlanta Braves change their tune on Freddie Freeman’s return from his wrist injury

What a difference a day makes!

On Thursday, the Atlanta Braves president of baseball operations John Hart said that Freddie Freeman‘s wrist injury was more serious than the team had thought and that his planned return after the all-star break wasn’t going to happen. Instead, Hart said it would be early August or possibly later before Freeman would be back.

On Friday, MLB.com reported that the Braves thought that Freeman, in a best-case scenario, could begin a rehab assignment as soon as Sunday.

According to manager Fredi Gonzalez, “He felt good, kind of turning a corner a little bit.
