In just his eighth MLB start, Houston Astros pitcher Ronel Blanco threw the 17th no-hitter in franchise history and the first of the 2024 MLB season.
Blanco, 30, didn't make his MLB debut until two years ago. He was only in the Astros' rotation due to injuries to Houston's starting pitchers. That didn't stop him from delivering a stunning performance against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Blanco had seven strikeouts and just two walks in the 10-0 win.
After Blanco's no-hitter on Monday, fans praised him for a miraculous performance.
Blanco doesn't have much MLB experience, making just eight career starts, but his no-hitter on Monday might have earned him a spot in the rotation moving forward.
