Los Angeles Angeles general manager Perry Minasian revealed Thursday that Trout suffered his second meniscus tear of the season, per Sam Blum of The Athletic.
The three-time American League MVP was initially attempting to return from a separate torn meniscus that he suffered on April 29. Trout will finish the season with just 29 games played, appearing in over 100 contests just once in the past four years.
