The New York Yankees bullpen had a Biblical feel to it at the start of spring training. It looked as unbeatable as Rambo with a rocket launcher.
We knew it was the creation of general manager Brian Cashman, but there was a feeling some sort of higher power created it.
Or, at the very least, some form of divine intervention allowed the Yankees and Cashman to pull off an offseason trade that brought flame-throwing left-handed closer Aroldis Chapman to the Bronx. He joined Andrew Miller and Dellin Betances to form a three-headed monster that has the potential to be one of the best relief trios baseball has seen.
