The next generation of MLB stars got their introduction to the league Sunday.
The first round of the 2024 MLB Draft began Sunday in Texas ahead of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game festivities. The Cleveland Guardians own the first pick, which is the first time in franchise history that it has held the top pick.
College hitters dominated the prospect rankings heading into the night, but plenty of talent exists to fill any holes that exist within the selecting organizations.

- Cincinnati Reds- P Chase Burns, Wake Forest
- Colorado Rockies- OF Charlie Condon, Georgia
- Oakland Athletics- 1B Nick Kurtz, Wake Forest
- Chicago White Sox- P Hagen Smith, Arkansas
- Kansas City Royals- P/1B Jac Caglianone, Florida.
