Report: Multiple MLB Players To Be Suspended For Steroids

Major League Baseball is expected to announce multiple suspensions over the next few days stemming from failed PED tests that are currently in process, according to ESPN's Outside the Lines

The offenders, who are currently unknown, reportedly tested positive for Turinabol, the anabolic steroid that led to an 80-game ban for Chris Colabello of the Toronto Blue Jays and Daniel Stumpf of the Philadelphia Phillies.

It it unknown why the drug, which was in common use by East German athletes in the 1970s, is currently making a comeback, but sources with knowledge of the report theorize it is either a new supplement on the market or simply better testing technology.

MLB officials declined to comment on the recent tests, as did MLBPA Executive Director Tony Clark.
