The MLB Trade Deadline is fast approaching on Monday at 4 p.m. ET, and as a result, trade rumors are flying across the league as talks heat up. Many rumors have centered around the futures of starting pitchers Justin Verlander and Sonny Gray, but they're far from the only players who could be dealt. Here are all the latest MLB trade rumors you need to know.
Sonny Gray Updates
The top deadline target is still Sonny Gray of the Oakland Athletics and there are quite a few updates on the rumors surrounding him. The A's are asking too much from the Yankees right now and the same is true for the Brewers.
Talks with #Brewers and #Athletics for Sonny Gray have stalled. The #As are insisting on CF Lewis Brinson. The Brewers won't trade him.

Jon Morosi adds that once Gray is dealt, it will trigger a flurry of moves on other starting pitchers. That could happen soon, as Jon Heyman reports that teams expect Gray to be dealt before his next start on Sunday. Gray is 6-5 with a 3.43 ERA and 94 strikeouts in 16 starts this season, and he can't become a free agent until after the 2019 season.
Justin Verlander Unlikely To Be Dealt
The Detroit Tigers are trying to trade Justin Verlander and his hefty contract, but that seems unlikely according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag Sports.
"Barring a crazy, last-second turnabout, iconic Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander will remain in Detroit after Monday’s trade deadline," Heyman writes. "There’s been a lot of speculation about Verlander since the Tigers are conducting a sale, but sources say it would take a 'miracle' for him to change teams. Rivals teams simply want no part of a contract that pays Verlander $28 million per year through 2019, people familiar with the situation say. And while there have been some public suggestions the Tigers would consider paying some of it, the contract remains an impediment to a deal."
Heyman adds that Verlander could clear waivers and thus still be a trade option, but a deal by the deadline seems improbable. Verlander hasn't had his best stuff this year, posting a 5-7 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.444 WHIP. The Tigers are far more likely to trade bullpen arm Justin Wilson and C Al Avila.

Zach Britton Drawing Interest
One of the more intriguing trade target is Baltimore Orioles reliever Zach Britton. He's battled injuries recently, but was one of the best bullpen arms in the game before the injuries. With the Orioles a open to selling, Britton is drawing interest.
Sources: #Astros are among the most serious Zach Britton suitors. #Dodgers involved, too, as @Ken_Rosenthal reported today. @MLB

Since returning from injury, Britton has a 3.5 ERA in 17 games with six saves and a 1.833 WHIP. He'd serve as the set-up man to Kenley Jansen, forming a potent duo. The Astros bullpen is one of the team's few weaknesses, and Britton would help out closer Ken Giles and others in the bullpen.
