The MLB trade deadline is just two days away and the MLB trade rumors are starting to heat up on the hot stove. With the deadline a mere few days away, teams in the postseason race are focused on improving their rosters before the non-waiver deadline. The teams selling are hoping to find prospects to boost their rebuild or even getting rid of some payroll. Here are all the latest rumors and news you need to know.
3-Team Deal For Jay Bruce Dead?
There were rumors yesterday of a three-team deal for Jay Bruce involving the Dodgers and Rays, but that deal appears to be dead.
Reds, Dodgers still talking about Jay Bruce. But a source says that 3-way deal isn't going to happen. It was fun while it lasted!

As Stark mentions, Bruce could still end up in L.A., even if a right-handed hitter makes more sense for the club. The Reds are widely expected to move Bruce before the deadline, with Bruce himself saying previously he expects to be dealt. The Mets and maybe even the Giants are also in the mix.
White Sox Shopping David Robertson?
The White Sox have been rumored to pull off a big-time fire sale if they deal Chris Sale (among others), and closer David Robertson is one player drawing plenty of interest.
Source: There's "a real possibility" the White Sox trade David Robertson. Plenty of contenders (WAS, TEX, CLE & more) looking for RP help.
— Mark Feinsand (@FeinsandNYDN) July 29, 2016
Robertson's 4.25 ERA is well-above his career 3.01 ERA, but that's because of a few rough outings. If Wade Davis and Andrew Miller aren't dealt, Robertson might be the best option on the market.
Derek Norris Getting Interest?
Jonathan Lucroy is the catcher getting most of the buzz, but don't forget about the Padres' Derek Norris. In fact, some teams might prefer Norris because he'll be cheaper in both terms of prospects and money.
Reported last night that #Padres’ Norris more likely for #Rangers than #Brewers’ Lucroy. Others also on Norris. Near-lock to be moved.

The Rangers could really use a catcher and they've been linked to Norris in the past.
Joe Smith On The Move?
The Angels' Joe Smith isn't the biggest name on the bullpen market, but he's drawing plenty of interest.
on joe smith, i've heard indians, mets, mariners, possible cardinals
— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) July 30, 2016
The 32-year-old righty has seen his ERA rise the last two years, but he's still a solid set-up man. He'll also be cheaper than some of the other options on the market.
