The MLB Winter Meetings are over, but the rumor mill is still on fire. This offseason has been a lot like a game of dominoes, once the two biggest ones fell (Japanese star pitcher/outfielder Shohei Otani and NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton) the smaller ones started to fall. It appears there is a few more dominos ready to fall, so make sure you read all the latest MLB rumors below.

Orioles Owners Don't Want to Trade Manny Machado?
Jim Bowden of Sirius XM reports that there's doubt that Orioles' ownership will sign off on trading star third baseman Manny Machado, even if it's recommended by executive vice president Dan Duquette.
8 teams have made trade offers to the Orioles for Manny Machado but sources doubt that ownership will approve a trade even if recommended by GM Dan Duquette

On Monday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that trade offers for Machado "improved over the weekend". The Orioles likely won't be able to keep Machado when he becomes a free agent next year, so they'd only have a draft pick to show for it rather than an impressive haul of prospects. Bowden also reported that eight major league teams are interested in Machado so something will have to happen soon.
Yu Darvish Visits Cubs
On Monday, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher confirmed on Twitter that he met with the Chicago Cubs. Since Darvish's tweet was in Japanese, Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times quote tweeted and explained Darvish's tweet.
Darvish acknowledges he met with the Cubs. Wants to improve English, so made it a point to not use an interpreter during 3 1/2 hour meeting. https://t.co/FZjClaHbFl

Now that Darvish is an option, the Cubs are focusing their attention on him instead of Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Alex Cobb. Darvish will be more expensive than Cobb, but his upside and potential is worth the extra expense. Last season Darvish pitched 186.2 innings with 209 strikeouts, 58 walks and an ERA of 3.86.
Martin Perez To Miss Start Of 2018
Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez underwent surgery last week after suffering a broken radial head in his elbow, following an incident with a bull. Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported, Martin was working on his ranch and had his bull in a holding pen. The bull made a strange move which startled Martin thus causing him to fall on his elbow.

The good news is, it's his non-throwing elbow, the bad news is he is expected to miss the first month (April) of the regular season. The 26-year-old is coming off a 4.82 ERA and 115/63 K/BB ratio in 185 innings across 32 starts this season.
