Manny Machado Progress
Baltimore Orioles manager Buck Showalter tells Rock Kubatko of MASN that there has been progress made as to what the left side of the infield will look like for the 2018 season.
Machado reportedly asked to move from third base to shortstop, but that's the current spot of Tim Beckham. Beckham was traded in 2017 to the Orioles and went on to have a great offensive season with Baltimore hitting .306 with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs, and scored 36 runs in 50 games.
Machado has been linked to many teams this offseason, but according to Tony Massarotti of 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, the Orioles "aren't getting close to what they want" in trade offers for Machado.
