We're just over a month away from pitchers and catchers reporting, and there's still several impact names out there both in the free agency and trade markets who'll be on the move before the middle of February gets here. We're here to take a look at the latest from the MLB Hot Stove madness with our Rumors Roundup for January 26th:
Royals working on contract extension for Salvador Perez
World Series MVP Salvador Perez has been one of the best bargains in baseball, earning just $7 million a year, and though he is signed through the 2019 season, the Royals are working on rewarding him for his production, reports CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.

Perez signed his deal with Kansas City in 2012, giving him $7 million a year for the first five years and then three club-option years that had a combined worth of $14.75 million.
What's the market for Dexter Fowler?
Former Chicago Cubs outfielder Dexter Fowler is the best free agent outfielder remaining with Yoenis Cespedes re-signing with the New York Mets, and several teams are pushing hard to land his services. However, ESPN's Doug Mittler says the White Sox, Angels, and Nationals are the players to keep an eye on.
"The White Sox would be in the best position since their first-round draft pick (10th overall) is protected and signing Fowler would only cost them the sandwich pick they earned when the Giants signed Jeff Samardzija. Fowler would be a defensive upgrade in center over Adam Eaton, who could be moved to a corner spot.
"An intriguing option is the Angels, who were in the hunt for Cespedes, but balked at the high price tag. The Angels desperately need another bat in the lineup and Fowler could make the transition to left field with Mike Trout entrenched in center. A wild card is the Nationals, who made a late run at Cespedes. But Fowler may not be enough of an upgrade for Washington to scrap its plan of using the recently acquired Ben Revere in center field."
Padres, Marlins interested in Tim Lincecum
Lincecum is trying to return after undergoing hip surgery last season, and two teams are showing a lot of interest in him, according to Heyman.

There are several other teams that are interested in how Lincecum preforms during that February showcase, but the Padres and Marlins appear to be the two teams that have significant interest in signing him.
