The MLB season is now in full swing as we've had three weeks of games, and there has already been a good deal of surprises. The Los Angeles Angels have emerged as one of the best teams in the league behind the bat and arm of Shohei Ohtani, while the New York Yankees have been one of the bigger disappointments to this point due to their inconsistency.
How do the 30 teams in the league stack up against each other this early in the season? Here are our current MLB Power Rankings:
30) Miami Marlins (5-12)
The Marlins went into this season knowing they were going to essentially put a minor league team on the field every night and they've done that - and have the results that show it.
29) Cincinnati Reds (3-14)
Cincinnati has the worst run differential in the league and is on pace to earn a top-five pick for the fourth straight year.
28) Kansas City Royals (3-12)
We knew offense was going to be a major problem for this year and it has been. They rank last in the league in runs scored.
27) Detroit Tigers (5-9)
Detroit started a long-term rebuild at the trade deadline last season and will continue to shed their best players in search of prospects and other assets. It's going to be a rough few years for the Tigers.
26) Chicago White Sox (4-10)
The White Sox scored 14 runs on Opening Day. Since they, they're averaging less than three runs per game.
25) Texas Rangers (7-12)
Texas is just 2-8 at home this season and rank among the bottom three teams in the league in opponents slugging average and WHIP. They won't improve until their pitching does.
24) San Diego Padres (7-12)
The Padres have been better than expected early this season and Franchy Cordero looks like he could turn into a star in the future...but that - and San Diego's success - still in the future.
23) Tampa Bay Rays (4-13)
The Rays haven't looked like the team we saw last year, largely due to the struggles of Chris Archer. The lineup has also really struggled to replace Evan Longoria.
22) Baltimore Orioles (5-12)
Baltimore is striking out at a historic rate - which isn't a recipe for success when you rely on offense to win you games the way the Orioles do. They will need their bats to become much more consistent.
21) Oakland A's (8-10)
Meanwhile, Oakland has used their offense to stay somewhat relevant despite not receiving quality pitching to this point in the season. They rank in the top three in the league in every major hitting category.

20) San Francisco Giants (6-10)
San Francisco had wildcard expectations and this start certainly isn't doing them any favors. You need to score runs to win games and the Giants have had one of the league's worst offenses.
19) Atlanta Braves (9-7)
Atlanta is showing major signs of progress after a long few seasons of rebuilding, and while they're still in that phase, they're winning games thanks to their offense.
18) Philadelphia Phillies (10-6)
The rebuild is still ongoing in Philly but, like with the Braves, there is plenty of reason for optimism. They are getting more production from players 25 years old and younger than any other club.
17) Milwaukee Brewers (9-9)
Milwaukee has had trouble closing games without All-Star closer Corey Knebel but their balanced attack has kept them at .500.
16) Seattle Mariners (9-6)
Robinson Cano looks like an MVP candidate early in the season as Seattle's offense has carried their lackluster pitching, but we've seen this movie from the Mariners before. Is it actually sustainable?
15) Colorado Rockies (11-8)
Colorado has won six of their last seven games following a terrible start, and all but one of those wins have come on the road. Why? Their pitching staff is carrying them as opposed to their offense.
14) Los Angeles Dodgers (7-9)
The Dodgers aren't the only contender that has started slow but there isn't any real reason for concern. Their stars will find themselves eventually and, when they do, they'll be one of the league's best teams again.
13) Chicago Cubs (7-8)
Yes, the Cubs have one of the best lineups in baseball but their rotation has let them down to this point - though, again, that's not something that's expected to continue with all the talent they have.
12) Minnesota Twins (7-5)
The Twins have had more postponements than any other team but have ridden their pitching staff and excellent defense to a positive record.
11) Washington Nationals (9-9)
Bryce Harper continues to do Bryce Harper things as the Nationals continue to showcase their solid, all-around play. They'll win the division again - the verdict on this team won't be issued until the postseason.

10) New York Yankees (8-8)
The Yankees have shown flashes of the scary potential of their offense, but Giancarlo Stanton is also striking out at an alarming rate and the overall consistency from the lineup just hasn't been there. It should come, but again, this is still a young team.
9) Pittsburgh Pirates (11-6)
The Pirates have gotten off to a great start behind an offense that ranks in the top 10 in every major hitting category. However, their pitching indicates that they can't keep this pace up. Will they?
8) St. Louis Cardinals (10-7)
Few teams are playing better than the Cards right now as they've won five games in a row and six of their last seven overall.
7) Cleveland Indians (9-6)
Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez are finally starting to play better after an incredibly slow start to the season. Still, this team has all of the key pieces from the teams that have been so good over the past two years. They'll be fine.
6) Toronto Blue Jays (11-5)
The Blue Jays have been one of the surprise teams of the year thanks to their offense, which has produced at least seven runs in seven games this season.
5) Houston Astros (11-7)
The champs haven't been dominant to start the season as we've expected, but they've had great outings from their top-end starters. However, their offense has let them down to this point in the season.
4) Arizona Diamondbacks (12-4)
Paul Goldschmidt and A.J. Pollock are killing teams in the heart of their order as the Diamondbacks have been getting quality pitching as well. They have a team ERA of 2.32 and opponents are batting just .212 against them, both of which rank in the top three in the league.
3) New York Mets (12-4)
The Mets are just the 22nd team in the World Series era (since 1903) to start the season with an 11-1 record but hit a snag last week, losing three of their last four games. Can New York find more consistency on offense?
2) Los Angeles Angels (13-4)
The Angels have gotten off to the best start in franchise history behind Mike Trout doing things only the best player in baseball can do and Shohei Ohtani doing wonders in the batter's box and on the mound. They look like a legitimate threat in the American League.
1) Boston Red Sox (14-2)
Boston had all the pieces to make a World Series run last season if they played consistent baseball. Well, they're playing consistent baseball right now and are getting dominant play from pretty much everyone on their roster. The Red Sox are the only team in the league to rank in the top four in every major hitting and pitching category.
