The 2016 MLB Hot Stove continues to sizzle with a litany of new free agency and trade rumors hitting wire. We're here to sift through the latest and most interesting of the bunch with our MLB News And Rumors Roundup For January 12th.
Rockies Sign Parra, Trade Next?
The Colorado Rockies signed OF Gerardo Parra to a three-year, $27.5 million deal Tuesday. The deal also has a team option for a fourth-year at $12 million. Parra joins outfielders Carlos Gonzalez, Charlie Blackmon and Corey Dickerson in Colorado. The deep outfield in Colorado suggests the team could trade one of their current outfielders.

Gonzalez would fetch the most talent, and he was linked to the St. Louis Cardinals earlier this offseason.
Dodgers Sign Yaisel Sierra
The Los Angeles Dodgers won the Sierra Sweepstakes, signing the Cuban right handed pitcher to a six-year deal.
Sources: #Dodgers have pulled ahead in Yaisel Sierra sweepstakes due to structure of the offer, deal expected to be six years/$30-$35M.

The Marlins and Cubs were also pursuing Sierra, who should be ready to contribute right away. The 24-year old will likely start in the bullpen.
Marlins Sign Wei-Yin Chen
The Marlins signed Chen to a five-year, $80 million deal Tuesday. However, the deal is slightly complicated. Chen doesn't have a no-trade clause but does include an opt-out after 2017. The deal is mostly backloaded, with just $28 million coming in the first two years. It also includes a vesting option for a sixth year if he pitches 180 innings the year before, or a combined 360 in the previous two. This brings the deal's value to $96 million.
The addition of Chen boosts the Marlins rotation and he could be the No. 2 started behind Jose Fernandez. The Marlins were viewed as possible contenders before the 2015 season. Although they struggled there is young talent on the team.
Marlins Won't Deal Marcell Ozuna?
The Marlins are now unlikely to deal their young outfielder.
The signing of Wei-Yin Chen basically ends any thoughts the #Marlins have about trading OF Marcell Ozuna for a pitcher.

A trade was unlikely to begin with, and the addition of Chen eliminates the team's need for another pitcher at the cost of Ozuna.
