Yankees Close To Dealing Chapman?
The Yankees are on the verge of dealing Aroldis Chapman.
Sources: #Yankees telling clubs that they are close to trading Chapman and will hold Miller.

The New York Post reported late last night that the Cubs, Nationals, Indians and a mystery team (plus the Giants) were all in the running. However, the Nationals have fallen behind, reports Jon Heyman. The Giants appear out of the running. That leaves the Cubs, Indians and the always-intriguing mystery team as the top contenders. The Dodgers had chased Chapman, per Ken Rosenthal, so perhaps they're Heyman's mystery team.
With Chapman's contract set to expire after this year, the Yankees are committed to moving him as a rental.
Andrew Cashner On The Block?
The Padres starting pitcher is generating plenty of interest on the trade block, reports Jon Heyman.
The Marlins, Astros and others are trying hard for Padres right-hander Andrew Cashner, who’s enhanced his trade value with two excellent starts in a row and is all but certain to be traded.
Word is that extra teams have entered the fray as Cashner has heated up. He allowed just seven hits and two runs while walking none and striking out 17 in his last two starts (versus the Giants and Cardinals, no less), as the list of suitors has grown to close to 10, according to sources.
Heyman writes that the Orioles, Tigers, Rangers and Giants have spoken with the Padres is recent days. Cashner is just 4-7 with a 4.79 ERA this year, but in a poor starting pitching market, Cashner has value. It's unclear what the Padres are hoping to land in exchange for him.
Chris Sale Suspended
Following a temper tantrum over throwback uniforms, the White Sox have suspended starting pitcher Chris Sale.

Sale will miss the next five days, meaning at least one start. For those that didn't hear what happened, Sale was unhappy about having to wear the White Sox's throw back jerseys during his start. So, he went Edward Scissorhands on the unis. Seriously.
Not a joke: Source says Sale blowup was because he didn't want to wear throwbacks, so he cut the jerseys up so no one could wear them.

Sale has drawn plenty of interest from teams, although it's unclear if the White Sox will move him. He's one of the best young pitchers in the game and Chicago could get a lot in return.
Royals Want Red Sox' Clay Buchholz?
The Royals need starting pitching help if they're going to make a run at the postseason, and Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports the Royals have interest in flipping Luke Hochevar for Clay Buchholz.
He’s likely available, considering he’s in his walk year and could bring a starter in return. The Royals have interest in Clay Buchholz, but the Red Sox would have to pick up a big chunk of the remaining contract, a prorated $13 million. The Sox could use another experienced reliever, and Hochevar has made 38 relief appearances this season with a 3.75 ERA. The Royals are expected to decide after their homestand which way they’re going to go.
Buchohlz has a team option for 2017, so could help the Royals next year as well. However, if the Royals elect to sell, they could target prospects to help replenish a thin system
