The MLB trade deadline on August 1st is rapidly approaching, and the trade rumors are starting to heat up. With the All-Star break complete, teams in the postseason race are focused on improving their rosters before the non-waiver deadline. Here are all the latest rumors and news from the MLB hot stove.
Jake Odorizzi Drawing Interest?
The Rays starter has been mentioned in trade rumors since before the start of the season, and he's continuing to draw interest.

All three teams are in a postseason position, while the Rays are last in the AL East. Odorizzi is under team control through the 2019 season. The 26-year-old righty is 4-5 this year with a 4.39 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP. Those figures are slightly above his career averages.
Teams After Matt Moore?
Odorizzi isn't the only Rays pitcher teams are scouting. Matt Moore is also generating considerable interest. The Tampa Bay Times reports the Dodgers, Rangers, Red Sox, Pirates and Nationals sent scouts to Moore's latest start Saturday. The lefty posted 7 1/3 innings of five-hit ball, allowing two runs. Moore is 5-7 this year, with a 4.33 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. The 27-year-old is under team control through the 2019 season. The Rangers have been linked to both pitchers and could be willing to part with prospect Joey Gallo.
Potential Yankees-Nationals Deal?
The New York Yankees and Washington Nationals could be getting close to a trade, as the Yankees are reportedly checking out the Nationals' farm system.

The Nationals have been connected to bullpen help in recent weeks, and the Yankees have both Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman. In particular, Chapman makes sense given his connection to Dusty Baker. Both were with the Cincinnati Reds for several years. With Chapman's set to hit free agency after this year, he's a prime trade candidate.
Marlins And Jeremy Hellickson?
With the Miami Marlins in the postseason mix, they're looking for pitching help. That's led them to a division rival.
the #Marlins will make a trade or two and this week they face someone on their radar, Jeremy Hellickson #Phillies
— Joe Frisaro (@JoeFrisaro) July 18, 2016
Hellickson is a 29-year-old righty with a 6-7 record, 4.03 ERA and a 1.2 WHIP this year. The issue for the Marlins is that they have a poor farm system. That could hurt them in their pursuit of Hellickson and takes them out of the running for the top available pitchers.
