We're nearly two months into the MLB season, and the MLB rumor mill is already churning. It's still early enough for struggling teams to have hopes of turning their season around, while successful teams are starting to look for the missing piece that can help them make the playoffs or compete for a World Series crown. Here's all the latest news and rumors surrounding the MLB:
Jason Heyward Injury Update
Jason Heyward took a nasty fall on a great diving catch Friday and there were concerns he could miss some serious time. However, it appears Heyward will only miss a few days.
#Cubs' Heyward diagnosed with contusion on right side in rib area: expected out 3 to 5 days. Szczur activated off DL; Ramirez DFA.

That's great news for the Cubs, who hold an MLB-best 29-11 record. Matt Szczur is an OF and could help the Cubs with Heyward out.
Mike Trout Trade?
With the Angels struggling and battling injuries, it's fair to think that some general managers are calling the Angels and trying to trade for Mike Trout. However, general manager Billy Eppler told the LA Times he hasn't fielded a single call about dealing Trout. One of the best young players in the league, it doesn't appear Trout will be going anywhere.
Alex Rodriguez Injury Update
The New York Yankees will have Alex Rodriguez back soon.
Joe Girardi said Alex Rodriguez won't be activated from the DL until Tuesday.

A-Rod has been out since May 3rd with a hamstring injury. Rodriguez is hitting just .194 with five homers and 12 RBIs this season. However, he had hit .400 in the six games before his injury.
