Washington Nationals
The Nationals have Chapman as their top target, reports Jon Heyman. The Yankees like Joe Ross, but the Nationals aren't willing to give him up. Heyman writes the Nationals have fallen behind in the race, but Keith Law has the details on a potential deal.
I heard Fedde, Glover, plus one more if he goes to the Nats, which is a lot. https://t.co/QhMxaXcBG7

Erick Fedde, a pitcher is Baseball America's No. 61 prospect. Koda Glover was recently sent back down after a brief stint for his MLB debut. Regardless of who the third prospect is, it's a solid offer from Washington.
Cleveland Indians
The Indians are a little tight on money at the moment, but they might be the favorites to land Chapman.
MLB source- the Cleveland Indians have the best names on the table for Aroldis Chapman. Deal could be close Washington also very aggressive

The Yankees won't pick up any of the $5 million left on Chapman's deal, which could hurt the Indians. The Yankees want quite a bit for Chapman.
Sources: Yankees are asking Indians for a deal around Bradley Zimmer/Clint Frazier plus Justus Sheffield/Triston McKenzie.
— Mike Ortiz Jr. (@xOrtiz4x) July 24, 2016
Zimmer and Frazier are the Indians top two prospects, while Sheffield and McKenzie are both top six. That's a massive package for a rental pitcher.
Chicago Cubs
Don't count the Cubs out of the race to land Chapman either.
Sources: #Cubs strong in mix for #Yankees’ Chapman. At least two other clubs involved.
— Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) July 24, 2016
The team is actually higher on Andrew Miller than Chapman, but Miller isn't likely to be moved. The Cubs have the best trade pieces, but might not be willing to move players like Kyle Schwarber.
San Francisco Giants
The Giants were one of the teams listed by Heyman and Rosenthal, but they appear to be out of the running.
General sense around Giants is that momentum is elsewhere on Aroldis Chapman
— Andrew Baggarly (@extrabaggs) July 24, 2016
The San Francisco Chronicle reports the Yankees aren't high on the Giants' farm system compared to the other teams in the mix. The Giants aren't even hearing much from the Yankees, so it's safe to cross them off.
Mystery Team
The always-intriguing mystery team is in the mix, reports Heyman. It's still unclear who it is, although the Dodgers have chased Chapman, per Ken Rosenthal, so perhaps they're the mystery team. Heyman doesn't throw out any potential teams. As with many trade rumors, the mystery team might have been leaked by the Yankees to help keep the interest high.
