This is a long way from confirmed, but veteran columnist and TSN reporter Steve Simmons has heard some interesting rumors about Joe Maddon's destination:

The biggest issue with this rumor - the Cubs already have a manager, and they just hired him under a year ago. Chicago hired Rick Renteria under a year ago in November 2013, and there have been no rumors (yet) that they're interested in parting ways with him already.
