The Kansas City Royals are another step closer to the World Series. They took a 2-0 lead over the Orioles with another late inning rally, scoring twice in the ninth to break a 4-4 tie and holding on for a 6-4 victory.
Turning Point: In a tie game heading to the ninth, Baltimore brought in their closer Zach Britton, who promptly allowed two runs on an Alcides Escobar go-ahead double, followed by a Lorenzo Cain single. The Royals brought in Greg Holland to shut the door in the bottom of the ninth.
Royals MVP: Lorenzo Cain - Along with a four hit night, Cain made his presence felt with a number of impressive defensive plays in center field. His final hit of the night scored an insurance run for the Royals as part of their two run ninth inning.
Orioles MVP: Adam Jones - The O's center fielder broke out of his postseason slump with a two-run home run, while matching Cain with some stellar defensive plays of his own.
