CINCINNATI, Ohio • Kim Anderson’s Missouri Tigers held their own for a half at one of the nation’s toughest arenas for visiting teams. Eventually, hanging tough wasn’t enough. Xavier dealt Mizzou its first defeat 78-66 at Cintas Center as Trevon Bluiett powered the Musketeers in the second half, scoring 13 of his game-high 18 points after halftime.
With the loss, Missouri’s first of the season after a three-game stretch in five days, the Tigers (2-1) get a break until back-to-back games in Kansas City next week as part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.
