After its successful sixth-place finish last week in the Jim West Challenge, Missouri women’s golf competed at the Mercedes Championship in Knoxville, Tennessee, looking for more positive results. The tournament began Sept. 18 and finished Sept. 19 at the Par-71 course at Cherokee Country Club.
The starters for the team’s second tournament of the season were juniors Emma Allen, Marit Harryvan, Cayce Hendrickson, sophomore Jessica Yuen and senior Clara Young. Sophomore Cherise Otter participated as an individual.
Unlike its strong finish at last week’s tournament with a team total of 854, Missouri struggled. At the end of 36 holes of continuous play, the Tigers had a team total of 899.
