COLUMBIA, Mo. — St. Louis quarterback trainer Matt Biermann has worked with local products such as former five-star Mizzou recruit and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer Blaine Gabbert — plus the younger Gabbert brothers, Tyler and Brett — along with Western Michigan’s Kaleb Eleby and MU’s Brady Cook.
There’s nothing, Biermann said, that quarterbacks dislike more than uncertainty.
As Missouri prepared to play at No. 1 Georgia last week, uncertainty was inevitable. Starting quarterback Connor Bazelak was hindered by a soft-tissue injury, leaving the job to Cook or freshman backup Tyler Macon. Cook knew the Sunday prior to the game he was going to play.
