With Mizzou's opener getting closer, Drinkwitz sees promising signs from offense

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A college football season that was all but declared dead on arrival a few months ago is off and running. For the Missouri Tigers, their coronavirus-delayed opener is just 20 days away.

That’s when No. 3 Alabama visits Columbia, the highest-ranked opponent for Missouri’s season opener in 45 years.

“I feel like I’m in that movie,” Eliah Drinkwitz said Saturday, the day he was originally scheduled to coach his first game at Mizzou. “What’s that movie with Tom Hanks in it?”
