COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri women’s basketball has quietly reloaded.
During an offseason marked heavily by uncertainty over coach Robin Pingeton’s future at Mizzou and the departures of two stars, the Tigers have added four players from the transfer portal to fill some positions of need.
Their most recent addition may be the most impactful: former Texas center Tionna Herron.
She stands 6-foot-4 and was a four-star prospect out of DeSoto, Texas — the No. 69 overall recruit in the 2022 class. Herron originally committed to Kentucky, but just a couple of months before her freshman season underwent successful open-heart surgery, which significantly delayed her college debut.
