The Missouri Tigers didn’t have the crispest performance in all of college football on Saturday, as they allowed Boston College to walk into Faurot Field and race to a 14-3 lead. The lead, succumbed thanks to two major coverage busts in the defense, was the first time the Tigers had faced real adversity all season.
Thanks to some big plays on the defense which turned into pivotal plays on the offensive side of the ball, Mizzou escaped with a 27-21 victory that most would say wasn’t as close as the scoreboard suggests.
After the game, Tigers head coach Eliah Drinkwitz did not mince words in reference to the strategy.
