TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Shorthanded Missouri couldn't snap its losing streak at Alabama and lost to the Crimson Tide 80-71 at Coleman Coliseum on Saturady. With just eight scholarship players available, the Tigers (8-15, 1-9 SEC) dropped their eighth straight game, tying the program's second-longest losing streak since 1974.
The loss continued Mizzou’s futility away from home. The Tigers have lost 19 straight SEC regular-season road games, 22 straight games on their opponent’s home floor and 26 straight games away from home against Division I competition.
Ryan Rosburg and Kevin Puryear, MU’s only scholarship forwards available Saturday, both had career-high scoring games with 17 and 22 points, respectively.
