LITTLE ROCK, Ar. -- Session One of the 2016 SEC Gymnastics Championship ended with Georgia in first place at 196.850. The Bulldogs' were led by senior Brandie Jay who scored team highs on vault and beam. Additionally, the Gymdogs scored session highs on vault, beam and floor.
Arkansas finished second in the session with a team score of 196.500. Samantha Nelson earned a 9.900 on beam to walk away with a share of the Session One beam title.
Session One rounded out with Kentucky earning a 196.250 and Missouri finishing with 195.750.
Georgia's Jay was the All-Around leader in Session One with Kentucky's Sidney Dukes and Missouri's Morgan Porter finishing second and third respectively.
